Tropical plants are not usual and common plants as they grow in very humid climates. The most common tropical flowers are Heliconias, Gingers, Bananas, Plumerias and Bromeliads.
Heliconias is one of the most remarkable plants. They have huge stems and leaves as well as adorable flowers. It grows easily and because of that is the perfect choice for having a tropical flower at home.
Gingers are well-known for producing fragrances. It has delicate foliage and flowers as well. These plants include of tall and short species with sweet fragrances. They run in the entire spectrum of colors. Gingers really prefer moist, fertile and organic soil.
Plumeria is commonly known as frangipani. One of the most beautiful trees when tropical plants are concerned, has over seven species known. They are originated in the American tropics and have been introduced to other tropical places worldwide.
Another typical tropical plant is the Bananas. They grow well in the ground, have huge leaves and can be also grown as an indoor flower.
Bromeliads are another unique plants that have over two thousand species. Almost all of them are typical with American soil.
Furthermore, Anthurium tropical plant is cultivated in Hawaii and is mainly dark red in color.
The Ti plant (pronounced as “Tea”) is a tropical plant from the “Lily” family, but is not related to the tea. This tropical plant, has a number of uses – medicinal, beauty, floral arrangement, candy. An interesting fact is that the root can provide an alcoholic drink.
